Race to Nowhere Follow-Up Conversations

Whether you've seen the film "The Race to Nowhere" or not, the producers of the film state that the goal of their film is to foster dialogue and be a catalyst for powerful conversations.
Race To Nowhere: Take Part in our National Screening Days

In keeping with that purpose, the Partnership for Children, Youth and Families is offering 4 opportunities to continue the conversation (see dates below).

These will be small group conversations designed to be a sharing of ideas about three questions:
  • What are our hopes and dreams for our children/teens, our students, the kid next door, our friends’ children? What are their hopes and dreams for themselves?
  • Within that context, how do we understand the words “success”, “education”, “achievement”, “motivation” – what are the possibilities that those words bring-up for each of us?
  • How do we act on our shared values and our shared accountability/responsibility to help our kids realize the hopes and dreams we hold for them and they hold for themselves?
We hope you can come to one of the conversations to share your thoughts and ideas. We need lots of voices to make a powerful conversation!

You do NOT have to have seen the film to participate.
