The Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth and Families launched the Connect with Kids campaign to emphasize a simple, but very powerful idea: Children and teens need adults in their lives – adults other than their parents.
As part of this campaign, the Partnership recognizes those adults and teens who make a positive difference in the lives of children. We call them Connect with Kids Champions Connect with Kids Champions are ordinary community members who make an extraordinary effort to let young people know they are cared for and valued here in Arlington.
Champions come from all walks of life – a champion could be a neighbor, a friend, a business, a parent or a professional working with young people. If you would like to nominate a Connect with Kids Champion, all you have to do is CLICK HERE and fill out the form and submit it to us. Once we receive the form, we’ll get back in touch with you.
Connect with Kids Champions are recognized twice a year - in the spring and the fall. The deadline for the spring 2011 nominations is Monday, April 18, 2011.
